Does this make anyone else hungry?

“That leaves you just ten minutes. You will have to run,” said Gandalf.
“But—,” said Bilbo.
“No time for it,” said the wizard.
“But—,” said Bilbo again.
“No time for that either! Off you go!”

I forgot about this. This is the worst 😆 when we go for vacation we clean the house and remove bedsheets first so we come back to a clean house. Bilbo just had 14 guests leave a mess and he is about to abandon it not knowing when he will be back. The hobbit in me is dying lol.

The two dwarfs who picked the cave to spend the night in... They must have been so preoccupied with being done but was there any other option?

This chapter I remember hating as a kid. It was also my first real exposure to riddles. I read this chapter at age 12 and like holding your breath for an underwater scene; I tried to answer the riddles before reading the answer like my life depended on it. What if I was in the same situation, would I live? I remember thinking most of the riddles in this chapter didn't make any sense to me. And now I am re-reading this as an adult who is a little better with riddles, here is what bothered me the most:

"Thirty white horses on a red hill,
first they champ,
then they stamp,
then they stand still.

TEETH?! the answer is teeth?

I am so upset by this; I just googled the riddles and I don't even see this one in the cliff notes? what is wrong with me...
